BUT HE NEVER ALLOWED HIMSELF TO FEEL SORRY FOR HIMSELF. HIS PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY AND BRILLIANCE ENABLED HIM TO LEARN ALL THAT WAS ESSENTIAL TO WRITE THE LAW SCHOOL EXAMS EACH YEAR-HE STUDIED THE SUBJECTS USUALLY THE NIGHTS BEFORE HE WROTE THE EXAMS.
HE PASSED ALL HIS EXAMS, A MOST DIFFICULT FEAT IN PART BECAUSE HE HAD TO BEG, BORROW OR BUY THE NOTES FOR LECTURES HE MISSED AND ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS HE COULD ONLY OBTAIN NOTES FROM THE PREVIOUS YEARS.
BUT NOTHING EVER STOPPED HIM- BECAUSE OF HIS INGRAINED REFUSAL TO EVER GIVE UP AND HIS STUBBORNESS WHICH IS LEGION.
AS HE EXPECTED HE OVERCAME THE MOST DIFFICULT HURDLES AND BECAME A LAWYER WITH FLYING COLOURS, OPENED HIS LAW OFFICES AND BEGAN TO PRACTICE LAW. HIS PRACTICE GREW BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS.
HE GRADUATED AS A LAWYER WHEN HE WAS BUT 23 YEARS OLD, THE YOUNGEST BY FAR IN HIS CLASS AND HE PRACTICED ONLY AS A SOLE PRACTITIONER.
THREE YEARS AFTER HE STARTED HIS PRACTICE HE HAS MADE SUFFICIENT MONEY TO LOOK AFTER HIS FAMILY.
HE THEN APPLIED TO MEDICAL SCHOOL WITH THE PURPOSE OF PRACTICING MEDICAL LEGAL AREAS OF LAW BUT HE WAS REJECTED FOR OBLIQUE REASONS INCLUDING HIS RELIGION.

HE ALSO SAID THAT ALL I HAD DONE WAS MAKE MONEY AND BABIES-I WAS'NT A CONFORMIST AND ONLY CONFORMISTS SHOULD BECOME DOCTORS.
I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET HIS VOICE AND DEMEANOUR!

HE MADE UP HIS MIND TO LEARN ABOUT THE REALITIES OF LIFE AND WITHIN THREE WEEKS HE WAS IN THE CONGO.
HE HAD LEARNED ABOUT AN UNOFFICAL ENTITY THAT DID NOT EXIST ON PAPER AND THAT WAS CREATED BY SOUTH AFRICA TO LOOK AFTER ITS INTERESTS IN THE CONGO AND ANGOLA-THE 5TH COMMANDO.
